Laura Traverso is a fixed term assistant professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Genoa (Italy).

She obtained her Master degree in Psychology and then her Ph.D. in Psychology, Antropology, and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Genoa. Additionally, she achieved the Psychotherapeutic Specialization at the Psychoterapeutic School “Il Ruolo Terapeutico di Genova”.

Her main research interests include self-regulation, executive function, and learning. She studies the development of these abilities and their relationship. Additionally, she aims at identifying useful assessment and intervention tools especially for preschool and primary school children. She was adjunct professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Medical and Pharmaceutics School and at the Department of Education Sciences at the University of Genoa. She worked as a clinical psychology and she has taught courses for operators, educators and teachers.
