Alberta Alcetti is a psychologist and psychotherapist.
She graduated in Psychology at the University of Padua and obtained her specialization in Life Cycle Psychology at the University of Pavia. She also received a second level master's degree in Psychopathology of Learning at the University of Padua and she deepened the psychology of trauma (Master of I and II level in Psychotraumatology and Workshop in EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She is currently a clinical psychologist with an expertise in the assessment and rehabilitation of children and adolescents with learning disabilities and affective disorders and coordinates a "Clinic & Research" working group. Her research interests are related to learning disorders, visuospatial skills, domain-general and domain-specific prerequisites for learning, and cognitive and affective profiles in learning disabilities. Since 1999 she has been collaborating with the Department of Education at the University of Genoa as adjunct professor in Learning disabilities, Educational psychology and Intervention techniques for learning difficulties. From May 2018 she is clinical supervisor and student trainer for the Student Counseling Service of the University of Genoa, that provides advice to students with emotional and learning difficulties. She is in charge of the working group on Learning disabilities and school motivation for the Regional council of the Association of Psychologists of Liguria and member of the board of the Ligurian section of the Italian Association for Learning Disabilities Research and Intervention (AIRIPA Society).
